New Year's Wellness Resolutions

Every new year, half of all Americans make a New Year's resolution. Unfortunately, many people don't follow through with their goals. So what are the keys to actually sticking to your New Year's resolutions?

Be specific and realistic.

Often people make vague resolutions like "eat right" or "get fit." It's much easier to follow through with concrete goals that are measurable and within your control. Your chiropractor can act as a wellness coach by helping you generate a realistic wellness plan catered to your specific needs. Whether it's taking the right vitamins or incorporating stretching into your daily routine, your chiropractor can advise you on ways to achieve better health.

Check-in and check-up.

Find ways to hold yourself accountable to your resolutions by checking-in with yourself throughout the year. Tell loved ones about your goals so they can give you support.

Regularly checking-in with your chiropractor can allow you to carve out time in your busy schedule to honestly take note of your progress. Research shows that for patients with fibromyalgia, regularly visiting a chiropractor helped them maintain their treatment and exercise plans. As your wellness coach, your chiropractor can help motivate you and ensure that you're on the right track.
